RAJOURI, Feb 10: Working out a case of theft, police in Teryath under Dharamsal Police Station in Rajouri have arrested the accused persons involved, recovering stolen property from their possession.
Accompanied by SHO Dharamsal Neeraj Choudhary and I/C PP Teryath, Raza Ali, Additional SP Nowshera Amit Verma revealed about the achievement at a press conference here.
SP Nowshera informed that during the intervening night of December 21-22, 2021, a theft was committed in Teryath market in which 13 shops were broken.
On this a FIR No. 150/2021 u/s 457/380 was registered at Police Station Dharamsal following which many suspects were rounded up.
During questioning suspects namely Sarfraz Ahmed, son of Jameel Ahmed, resident of Grath in Kalakote; Mohd Faiz, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Grath and Mohd Salem son of Mohd Yousif, resident of Saranoo in Rajouri confessed their involvement in committing the thefts at Teryath market.
On their confessions, stolen property have also been recovered that include cash Rs 8000, phone memory cards 05, wrist watches 03, 04 Garlands (Haar) with 500 rupees value each. Further investigation into the matter is going on. He said Rajouri Police solved many theft cases in recent past.
