Theft case worked out, 4 arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, Mar 31: Nowabad Police worked out a theft case with the arrest of four persons and recovery of stolen items worth Rs 50,000.
As per police sources, on December 14 last year, a complaint was lodged by Rajesh Negi, Safety Officer of SP Singla Construction Company at NHW Jammu Akhnoor with Police Station Nowabad stating that some unknown thieves have stolen shuttering plates from construction site pillar number 39.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 153/2020 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
To work out the case, a special team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo Inspector Kali Charan was constituted by DySP Headquarters Jammu Swati Sharma.
After stern efforts and with the help of technical assistance and CCTV camera footage of the area, the special team arrested a thief, who during sustained questioning, also disclosed the names of three other accused involved in aforesaid case.
The arrested persons were identified as Shah Mohammad, son of Soni Mohammad of Parpad, at present Belicharana, Mohammad, son of Abdul Hamid of Ragoora, at present Belicharana, Mohammad Rashid alias Mani, son of Mohammad Shafi of Parpad Ragoora, at present Belicharana and Makan, son of Bishan of Narwal.
On their disclosure, stolen iron shuttering plates worth Rs 50,000 were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
