Theft case worked out

JAMMU, Nov 2: With the arrest of one person, police in the border Sai Kalan Village in Arnia area here claimed that they have solved a theft case.
A police spokesperson said that information was received at Border Police Post (BPP) Sai Kalan regarding theft in Radha Krishna Temple at Village Sai Kalan under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 82/2023 Under Section 457, 380 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and further investigation started.
During the course of investigation, the police spokesperson said that special teams of Border Police Post Sai Kalan led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO Arnia, Inspector Deepak Katoch and incharge BPP Sai Kalan ASI Karan Singh rounded up one suspect, who was identified as Subash Chander of Sai Kalan, Dewar Camp.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, stolen items, including a nose ring that the accused had sold to a goldsmith were recovered from his possession, added the police spokesperson.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police spokesperson.
