JKCCTU’s concern over delay in release of pensionery benefits

JAMMU, Nov 2: Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) has expressed serious concern over the utter failure of UT administration in releasing the salary of Government employees in time and delaying the disbursement of GP Fund, gratuity and other pensionery benefits to retired Government employees which has never been a practice in the past.
Mohammed Maqbool and Gurmeet Singh president and general secretary of JKCCTU said this practice is causing tremendous hardships to employees and pensioners. They said many retired employees are hard pressed due to delay in payment of retirement benefits and gratuity with the result they can’t perform the marriage ceremonies of their grown up children and demanded timely disbursement of salaries and immediate release of pensionery benefits.
To express solidarity with the genuine issues of employees and pensioners the JKCCTU has extended its full support to the protest call given by Employees Joint Action Front.
