Theft case solved, two arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, June 3: Domana Police worked out a theft case with the arrest of two persons along with stolen items.
As per police sources, on June 1 this year, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Domana about theft of cash and cigarette boxes from a shop.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 149/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Domana led by PSI Younis Khanday rounded up several suspects and finally nabbed two thieves.
The arrested persons were identified as Pritam Singh alias Fallu, son of Uttam Singh of Behlain Domana and Smile Kar, son of Pawan Kar of Behlain Domana.
On their disclosure, Rs 35,600 cash and cigarettes worth Rs 35,000 were recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused namely Pritam Singh alias Fallu is habitual thief and was previously involved in two theft cases and has been recently bailed out from the jail.
Further questioning of the arrested persons is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
The arrested and recoveries were made under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
