UDHAMPUR, June 26: With the arrest of the accused, the police solved a theft case and recovered stolen items/property in Udhampur area.
Official sources said that on the intervening night of May 28-29 2025, a theft incident occurred in the office building of Govt. Middle School Gujjad. In this regard, a case FIR No. 60/2025 U/S 331(4), 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Chenani.
During the course of investigation, the Police team from Chenani rounded up several suspects for questioning. One of the suspects, Dharminder Singh alias Sonu, son of Baldev Raj of Bashat, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, confessed his involvement in the crime during sustained interrogation.
Based on his disclosure, the police team successfully recovered the stolen items which include– CPU, Desktop, UPS, Microphone, Speaker, Thermometer, Keyboard and Biometric device. Further investigation in the case is underway.
