Theft case solved, stolen gold ornaments recovered

JAMMU, Oct 16: Bagh-e-Bahu Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen gold ornaments from their possession.
“Acting on the information regarding theft in area under its jurisdiction, a case FIR number 47/2022 U/S 454/380/311 was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started,” a police spokesman said.
He said a dedicated team of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu constituted under the overall supervision of SDPO East Sayed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Sikander Singh with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up two suspects namely Deepu son of Manga Ram of Kalka Colony (Bahu Fort) and Vikram Kumar son of Babbu of Rajeev Nagar (Narwal).
“During sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure stolen gold ornaments weighing 15 tola (150 grams) were recovered,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
