Theft case solved, 3 stolen bikes recovered

JAMMU, May 26: In a significant breakthrough, Police in Jammu’s Miran Sahib Area has successfully solved a theft case, leading to the recovery of three stolen bikes.
A police spokesperson said that acting swiftly upon a written complaint from one Bablu Kumar son of Madan Lal of Taali Morh, Miran Sahib, Tehsil RS Pura Jammu, the police initiated an investigation, resulting in the registration of FIR No 104/2023 Under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Miran Sahib.
Under the leadership of SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, and with the assistance of SHO PS Miran Sahib, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, he said, dedicated police teams tirelessly worked to crack the case.
“The breakthrough came as a result of meticulous analysis of CCTV footage from the area, enabling the identification and subsequent apprehension of a suspect,” he said.
Police identified the suspected individual as Mohammad Sharief from Pamruya, Rajbhagh Kathua.
During the course of the interrogation, the police spokesperson said the accused confessed to his involvement in the crime.
Acting upon his disclosure, he said, the police successfully recovered a stolen motorcycle. “Additionally, two more motorcycles were also retrieved,” he said.
Police have been further probing the case.
