The Saints, in Divine Realm

Capt Purushottam Sharma

We adore and worship the Owner of the Universe because He is our Mother and Father both. So is a Saint in whom the Lord manifests Himself through His attributes and signs. Possessed with self-less and pure love for His creation, Saints are our best well-wishers. The company of Saints smashes all delusions and impurities of the mind. Saints do not punish the sinners but tender-heartedly, they treat the ‘sin’ in the sinner like a physician treating a physical ailment of a patient. Like trees, streams and clouds. Saints render self-less service to the humanity expecting nothing in return. They shower their unbounded grace, bless us and sow the spiritual seeds all over for the good of the mankind.
Saluting the Saints, swami Gaibanand Ji Maharaj says –
‘‘Maha Rattan Hain Sant Jan Kaise Karun  Bakhan
Mulya Nahin Sant Ka Ye  Anmol Mahan’’
‘Saints are the most precious gem of the gems beyond expression for they cannot be evaluated in material sense.’’
Goswami Tulsidas Ji says-
‘‘Mud Mangal Maye Sant Samaju
Jo Jog Jangam Teerath Raju
Ram Bhakti Yahan Sur Sari Dhara
Sarsai Brahm Vichar Prachara’’
‘ The society of Saints is delighting and auspicious and bestows all that is good.
It it like the mobile ‘Prayag Raj’, the King of all places of pilgrimage, confluence of  Holy Rivers Saints’ Supreme Devotion flows like the Ganga and the glorification of the Self-Commonion like Sarswati.’
Spotless in mind, Saints do not find fault in others. They preach Truth day and night.
Saints treat  worldy possessions like the dust. They  are our guiding lights and guardians  too. Most of  them physically frail and aged, they cover hundreds of thousands miles on foot across the lofty mountains, burning deserts and growling waters without any sign of fatigue and frustration to spread the message of the Supreme- ‘Satyam Vad, Dharamam  Char’’ Speak the Truth- follow the path of Righteousness.  All activities of Saints are directed to prompt and promote Devotion, Knowledge, Selfless Service and Spiritual Discipline. Sant Paltoo Saheb says-
‘Sant Au Ram Ko Ek Kai Janiye,
Doosra Bhed Na Tanik Anai,
Lali Jiun Chhipi Hai Mehndi Ke Paat Mein,
Dhudh Mein Ghiv Yeh Gian Thanai,
Phool Mein Vas Jiun Kaath Mein Aag Hai
Sant Mein Ram Yehi Bhanti Janai.
Das Paltoo Kahay Sant Mein Ram Hai
Ram Mein Sant Yeh Satya Manat’’
Saint(Sant) and Ram should be known alike without slightest distinction.
As redness conceals itself in leaves of  hena, ‘ghee’ in milk, fragrance in flower, fire in wood, so Rama resides Himself  in Sant.Paltoo Saheb says that this Divine Truth should be taken for granted.’
“Ram Samipi Sant Hain Ve Jo Karain So Hoi
Ve Jo Karain So Hoi Hukum Mein Unke Saheb
Sant Kahen Soi Karain Ram Na Karte Bayab,
Ram Ke Ghar Ke Beech Kaam Sab Santai Karte
Devta Taintiskot Sane Se Sabhi Darte,
Rai Parbat Karain Karain Parbat Ko Rai,
Ram Ke Ghar Ke Beech Phirat Hai Sant Duhai,
Paltoo Ghar Mein Ram Ke Aur Na Karta Koye,
Ram Sameepi Sant Hai Ve Jo Karain So Hoi ‘’
‘Saints are in eternal nearness to the Lord Rama. He is under the command of Saints. Saints realize and accomplish whatever they wish to. Rama gladly and honorably accepts what they do. Rama does not disapprove any deed of Saints. Saints are the loving Functionaries at the Divine Mansion of Rama at Saket Dhaam. It is the Saints alone and none else who carry out Divine works. Even the thirty-three crore Devtas feel scared of Saints. Saints can transmate ‘rai’ into mountains and mountains into ‘rai’. Glories of Saints are sung loudly at the Rama’s Place. It is the Saints aloneand none else to carry out the Holy Works at Rama’s Abode befitting their Divine nature.
Therefore- “Sant Milan Jo Jaiye Taj Maya Abhiman
Jitne Jitne Pag Dharen  Sau Sau Yagya Saman’’
‘If we proceed to meet a Saint after shedding the ego-sense and the ostenation of our large material possessions, each step thus taken in that direction fetches the merits of one hundred Yajnas’.
