LOS ANGELES, Aug 1: The second season of HBO TV series “The Leftovers” will debut on October 4.
Co-creator Damon Lindelof said the upcoming season is about how a family comes back together and will bring back Patti, who was presumed dead, reported Aceshowbiz.
As revealed in the teaser, season two will be set in a different city, which is Jarden, a small town in eastern Texas, where none of its residents disappeared during the Departure.
Some of the characters will relocate there, including Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), his new lover Nora Durst (Carrie Coon), his daughter Jill (Margaret Qualley), and the town reverend Matt Jamison (Christopher Eccleston).
Despite the new setting and a lot of new characters, Lindelof emphasised, “This season is not a reboot,” but “it’s the next chapter.”
The drama series is based on its co-creator Tom Perrotta’s novel of the same name. (PTI)
