Based on information provided by the duo during interrogation, authorities arrested two additional suspects, Vishavjit from Kolkata and Jackson from Nakodar.
Vishavjit was apprehended while attempting to flee to Malaysia. The recovery of the hand grenade was a direct result of these arrests.
Investigations revealed that the accused were operating under instructions from Canada-based masterminds, Zeeshan Akhtar and Ajay Gill.
Further probes disclosed that Vishavjit and Jackson had retrieved two hand grenades from Beas through their associates in late July. One of these grenades was used in an explosion at a liquor shop in SBS Nagar approximately 10 days ago by other members of the group.
A case has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar. (UNI)
