Pak failed to inflict damage on Indian Army

Kupwara, May 20: Army today said that they completely destroyed all military infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir’s (PoJK) Leepa Valley and terror launch pads across the other sector during this month’s conflict with Pakistan and said that it may take years for them to rebuild it.

An official told visiting journalists in the Kupwara sector that the Army deployed along LoC in Kashmir targeted and destroyed at least three posts, an ammunition depot fuel storage facility, and gunnery, among other targets, during the military conflict following the Operation Sindoor strikes in Leepa Valley only.
“Our retaliation was so devastating that it will take Pakistan at least 8-12 months to rebuild, possibly longer,” the official said while an Army Patrol Party equipped with small range weapons patrolled the fence to keep watch on any attempts of infiltration by terrorists.
The official said that even though there were empty military structures also present at Leepa Valley, the Army targeted only those where maximum damage could be inflicted.
“The message was clear – our retaliation follows a 1:3 ratio, meaning the Indian Army will strike three times as hard for every Pakistani ceasefire violation,” he said.
The official also gave details of the 25-minute strike near Muzaffarabad in PoJK on May 7 under Operation Sindoor. He said that the coordinated strikes were so intense that the commander of PoJK’s 75th Infantry Brigade urged troops to prioritise saving lives over protecting assets.
“Intercepted communication revealed how a Pakistan army commander, hiding inside a mosque, was instructing troops to save lives first. One message was ‘save lives first, offices can reopen later,’ the official said.
Another official at a location where Air Defence was deployed during the conflict revealed that the Pakistan army had employed heavy weaponry, including aerial platforms, to target Indian positions but failed to inflict any damage.
“Our indigenously developed Akashdeep radar system performed brilliantly while our air defence guns neutralised their aerial platforms. Our military infrastructure remains intact, while the enemy’s has been decimated,” he said while giving a demonstration on the functioning of the Air Defence System.
Another senior official at an artillery gun position told reporters that the Army demolished as many as nine terror sites in Pakistan and PoJK on May 7 under Operation Sindoor in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack of April 22.
He said that the guns destroyed several terror camps across PoJK and the army posts which were aiding terrorists in infiltration while the gunners in the background were conducting mock drills.
