SRINAGAR, May 21: Security forces today arrested a terrorist associate in Kulgam district of South Kashmir and recovered two hand grenades and incriminating material from his possession.

A police spokesperson said Kulgam Police in a joint operation with Army’s 34 RR and CRPF’s 18 Battalion, intercepted a suspicious person at Mohammadpora village in Kulgam during checking.
The accused was identified as Aadil Hussain Lone, son of Mohammad Sadiq Lone, a resident of Mohammadpora, Kulgam.
“During his personal search, two hand grenades and incriminating posters were recovered from his possession,” the spokesperson said.
Police said the accused was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 88/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kulgam.
“Further investigation is going on and more arrests and recoveries are expected,” the spokesperson added.
“Police remain committed to its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and will continue action against terror networks,” the spokesperson said.
