JAMMU, Feb 6: Demanding continuation of their service, Temporary teachers of 2014 today held a protest demonstration in front of the Raj Bhawan, here today.
Carrying banners and raising slogans in support of their demands, the protesting Temporary teachers also staged a sit-in there. The protest was organized under the banner of J&K Temporary Teachers Associ-ation-2014, led by its president Balwinder Singh Pawar.
While addressing the protest dharna, Balwinder Singh claimed that the former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu had assured to include their case along with 61000 temporary employees of other departments for regularizing their services. “However, the Temporary Teachers were not included in the list despite assurance,” he lamented and appealed the Governor to personally look into their demand for positive consideration.
The protest was also addressed by some other leaders of the Association, who vowed to continue their struggle to a logical conclusion.
