JAMMU, June 27: Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple Trust today donated Rs 42000 for the victims of Uttarakhand tragedy.
In a meeting of the Temple Trustees held here in the office chamber of the president, all the trustees observed two-minute silence in the memory of the people who lost their lives due to floods and cloud in the most renowned religious shrine in Uttarakhand. They paid rich tributes to the departed souls.
Rich tributes were also paid to the jawans who lost their lives in a helicopter crash while providing relief measures to the flood victims.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak decided to send a cheque of Rs 42000 in the first instance to the Prime Minister Relief Fund as an assistance to the Uttarakhand flood victims.
