KATHUA, Mar 18: A teenager committed suicide in village Karthal in Bani tehsil late last night by hanging himself in his room.
He has been identified as Gopi, 17, son of Nanak Chand of village Karthal. The family went to his room in the morning as he did not wake up for a long time. They were shocked to see him hanging with ceiling of the room. The Bani Police which came to know of the incident reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Bani Sub District Hospital for autopsy. After completing all legal formalities the body was handed over to family by the police for last rites this afternoon.
The Bani Police has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation in this regard.
