JAMMU, May 4: ‘Teen Tilange’, a new play in Hindi written by Vinod Kumar and directed by Neeraj Kant, was staged today at Natrang’s Studio in its Weekly Theatre Series, Sunday Theatre.
The play opens at a market place where three unemployed youth who are close friends happen to meet each other at a tea stall after a long time, when they discuss the whatabouts and howabouts of each other, the reply was same i.e. ‘Nothing’.
Even though they are not doing anything, they are not much concerned about finding some livelihood; they are busy cherishing their unrealistic dreams. They deliberately live in their dream world as the real world appears harsh to them.
One of them wanted to become a powerful politician, the other one a popular hero and the third one has always aspired to become a successful industrialist. But the reality is altogether different. They have all the big ideas, long speeches and decorative vocabulary in their repository  but do not have a genuine platform to use this, their talents and energies are not channelized rather are being scattered and wasted in regret, frustration and mindlessness.
This situation makes them so self centered and vulnerable that even one gets a chance to grow, the others will drag him back because of their narrow vision.
The straight and simple story of the play carried many indirect and complex idioms which are required to be answered if we want our nation to progress and youth to prosper.
The cast of the play included Syed Mudassar Ali Shah, Rajan Thakyal, Susheel Raina, Namit Dubey, Varun Sharma, Mahikshit Singh Langeh, Vrinda Bakshi and Sachin Saini.
The sets of the play were erected by Mohd Yaseen, Syed Mudassar Ali Shah and Rajan Thakyal. The lights were operated by Neeraj Kant. Ashwani Bali presented the show before the audience and the show was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma.
