REASI, Aug 2: A teen aged girl was found hanging from a tree near her house at Manjikote tehsil of Mahore, here today.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Devi, age 16-17 years, daughter of Pyar Singh of Manjikote. She was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances.
On being informed, a Police team from Mahore Police Station rushed to spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities. A case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 12-year old boy died because of snake bite and no timely treatment to him.
Reports said that Nikhil Sharma, son of Baldev Raj Sharma, was bitten by snake when he was playing in the lawn of his house in Shebar, Surandi area of Arnas. He was immediately shifted to nearby dispensary, which was found closed. The family members then rushed the boy to PHC Arnas but he died on the way.
