TEDx Rajinder Park organizes motivational programme

JAMMU, May 26: TEDx Rajinder Park organised a motivational programme at Jammu Club to undertake event TEDx talks.
The programme was organized by Shivani Vaid Sharma under license from TED (www.ted.com), which provides a platform for diverse ideas to be presented by fascinating speakers and performers of national and international repute, sharing their success stories and putting forth new captivating ideas to inspire the civil society, particularly the young generation.
TED is an internationally acclaimed organization devoted to ideas worth spreading. Initiated as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has since grown to support multiple initiatives. The two annual TED conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available free of charge, at TED.com.
TEDx is a program of local, sell-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx and TEDx Rajinder Park is the brand licensed for Jammu. It is mandated to conduct its programmes at Jammu and other locations of J&K.
In largely attended programme, the speakers and performers for the 2019 edition of TEDx Rajender Park included Najibullah Adamji, Statistical Officer, Union Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, who spoke on Artificial Intelligence; Dr Manu Arora, Psychiatrist GMC Jammu who delved on ill effects of video games etc on children; Anish, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Trainer; Dr Milan Sharma, Faculty at IMFA, University of Jammu who spoke on importance of Art & Culture in life; Rajni Sehgal, Superintendent of Prisons Jammu and Juhie, Radio Jockey, 92.7 Big FM.
Rajni Sehgal talked on the problems women face at work places with a motivating message to them. RJ Juhie shared her research experience in child abuse which too is a burning issue in the society.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Preet Kour while vote of thanks was presented by Shivani Vaid Sharma.
