JAMMU, Nov 21: Two- day technical festival TECHNOVATION- 2019 began today at Govt Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu.
The fest was inaugurated by Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Technical Education, J&K along with Er Mehmood Ahmed, Secretary State Board of Technical Education, J&K; Er Mohd Shafi Bhat, Joint Director Technical Education Department J&K and Er Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu.
Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, in his address, stressed that we are living in a knowledge economy, where ideas generated by talented people and the inventions they make are the new currency. He motivated the students to work in the field of Technical education and bring new ideas and innovations in the field of Technology for making the life of common man simple.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Govt Polytechnic, Jammu, said that this two- day event will provide an opportunity to all young innovative minds to use technology and will motivate the students towards innovation and analytical thinking. He also briefed about the various competitions and activities to be held in TECHNOVATION 2019 event, which include Design-e India, Electronic Circuit Making, Mechanical Assembly, Project Demonstration, Quiz Contest, Tech Show, Electronic Circuit making, CAD Mania and so forth.
Students presented a colourful cultural programme. Technical play on Futuristic Technologies, `Say No to Drugs’, Water Conservation-Jal Shakti Abhiyan etc were presented by students of various Polytechnic colleges of Jammu division.
In this two- day Technical festival, more than 250 students of various Government/Private Polytechnics of Jammu division are participating. The participating colleges are Govt Polytechnic Jammu, Women Polytechnic Jammu, Govt Polytechnic Reasi, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, Kishtwar, NITS, IECS Polytechnic and ASCIT Polytechnic College.
Er Jasdeep Kour Lecturer I&C conducted proceeding of the programme and Er Sakshi Kapai presented vote of thanks. Other who were present on the occasion, included Er Ritu Jamwal, Principal, Govt Women Polytechnic Jammu; Er Suket Gupta, Principal, Government Polytechnic Reasi; Er Vivek Sharma, Principal Government Polytechnic Kathua/Samba; Er Inderjeet Singh, Er Kuldeep Bhatia, Er Sanjay Gupta, Er Rajesh Gupta, Er Zia Ul Haq, Er Sukhdeep Singh, Er Rajiv Kohli, Tariq Amin and all HODs, staff of Government and Private Polytechnic of Jammu Division.
