NEW DELHI, Dec 7: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has asked the Government of India (GoI) to take on board ground level KP leadership while deciding their future, during a discussion on various issues confronting Kashmiri Hindus in J&K with the Union Minister of State for Home, G. Kishan Reddy at his office in North Block, here.
Team APMCC comprised of Chairman Vinod Pandit, King C Bharati, Senior Journalist and National Spokesperson, Avtar Krishan Bhat, President Veervan PM Package Employees’ Colony and Ranjan Jyotshi, President, Mattan PM Package Employees’ Colony.
A ten point Memorandum besides a blue print for Kashmiri Hindu Development Board, a long pending demand of APMCC and other documents were submitted to the Government.
Team APMCC also presented a souvenir of Harmukh Ganga Photograph and invited the Minister to visit employee colonies in Kashmir as well as Gangbal Yatra.
In a statement issued here, Vinod Pandit said that the Team APMCC discussed all major issues confronting the community and impressed upon the minister to take on board the ground level leadership of the community while taking any decision regarding Kashmiri migrants.
He also informed the minister about the present scenario of J&K and also briefed him on the functioning of the bureaucracy in the Union Territory.
“We have asked the GoI to consult ground level leadership working for the KPs regarding any future course of action for Kashmiri Hindus as well as constitution of a Kashmiri Pandit (KP) Welfare Development Board with a KP as its Chairman to sort out all pending issues of the community”, said King C Bharati, APMCC National Spokesperson
“Team APMCC also sought constitution of a Temple Management Board for all the temples of Kashmir Valley on the pattern of Gurudwara Prabhandak Board as the erstwhile Temple Bill has now become defunct and invalid in view of the declaration of J&K as Union Territory”, Vinod Pandit informed.
Mr Bharati further said that the issues that were discussed threadbare with the minister by Team APMCC, include involving KP leadership in decision making, constitution of KP Welfare Development Board, Temple Prabhandak Board, Shifting of Kendriya Vidyalaya Bragpora, Anantnag to Vessu PM Package Employee colony, Transfer of land identified for employee colonies particularly in Wandhhama and Odina to Relief and Rehabilitation organization immediately, Reopening traditional route of Shardha Peeth temple in PoK, establishing Shardha Peeth University in Kashmir valley, Additional Employment Package For Migrant Youth and completing recruitment process of all pending posts within this year, One Time Package For Over-Aged Migrant Youth and Special Employment Package For Non-Migrant KP Youth living in Kashmir valley.
The minister heard all the issues patiently and assured the delegation that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned quarters.
