JAMMU, Dec 7: On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Indian Institute of Management Jammu today organized a voluntary blood donation camp in the Institute.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society and the donated blood will be utilized for treatment of Thalassemia patients in the region. The Students’ Social Responsibility Cell organized this event under the guidance of Prof Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Chairman, Students’ Affairs.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr Danish Ayoub Khan, CMO Jammu. Dr Khan applauded the enthusiasm exhibited by the students and the Medical professionals who volunteered to support the blood donation camp.
Prof B S Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, encouraged more students to come forward and contribute to this noble cause. Sudhir Sethi, President J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society was also present on the occasion.
A total of 46 units were donated by the students, faculty and staff at IIM Jammu. The event saw the entire IIM Jammu fraternity uniting for a great cause.
