JAMMU, June 15: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by its chairman Ganesh Khajuria, called on Director School Education Jammu Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma and discussed with him various issues pertaining to the teaching community for immediate solution of the same.
The core issues and demands projected by the Chairman included; filling up of vacant posts of all the DDOs, streamlining of salaries of Masters working as Head Teachers, vaccination of all the teachers who have been deployed for COVID-19 duties, replacement of the Teachers on COVID-19 duties of District Jammu deployed at Lakhanpur to their own districts, TA in favour of those Teachers/ Masters who have been stationed at different platforms to perform COVID-19 duties and also for those who have been distributing books and MDM dry ration from door to door as per the orders of the higher authorities.
The Forum also demanded release of grant for District Udhampur on account of pending arrears with reference to 6th Pay, 7th Pay and DA of Masters working in SSA upgraded Middle Schools and release of the pending arrears of RRET’S, GR II and GR III Teachers and Transition of GR II and GR III Teachers on substantive posts.
The Chairman also raised the issue of regularisation of Teachers who have been promoted from Lab Asstts three years back in their own pay grade (OPG) which is sheer injustice.
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the matter under his domain will be sorted out at an earliest and the pending matters shall be forwarded to the Administrative department for early redressal.
Moreover, in reply to the demand of postings of ZEOs at different Zones lying vacant, the DSEJ said that the list will surface in a very short time.
Ganesh Khajuria was accompanied by S Surat Singh Toofani, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, Sushil Sharma, Bharat Bushan Sharma and Manpreet Singh Mann.
