SRINAGAR, June 15: Former minister and veteran Congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz has urged the J&K UT Administration to resettle fire victims of Noorbagh, Baramulla.
“I have conveyed it to the Union Territory Govt through their top functionaries that the fire-sufferers of Noorbagh, Baramulla must be provided relief and other facilities for their rehabilitation, as early as possible,” former PCC chief Soz said.
“I have brought to their attention the fact that since the working season in Kashmir is limited to just four months, the requirements for rehabilitation must be provided in time, particularly for the fact that winter months are not far away. I have also analyzed the fact that the fire-sufferers belong to the lower strata of society and therefore, the Administration must show some urgency in respect of measures that need to be taken for their rehabilitation,” he added.
Soz claimed that he took up the matter with Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K. Pole and the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar.
