POONCH, Aug 7: Alleging violations of Teachers transfer policy in the recently ordered transfer of teachers in Poonch district, All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation has sought Vigilance probe into all such transfers and also demanded attachment of CEO Poonch till pending inquiry.
Talking to media persons, here today, Darshan Kumar, president of AJKLTF, Poonch unit, alleged that the CEO office Poonch has violated the teachers transfer norms and side lined the proposals submitted by cluster heads who had worked hard by spending their over 20 days.
“CEO office modified the proposals submitted by the cluster heads without knowing the ground realities and transferred blue eyed at choice postings even within zones, avoiding the genuine cases who have been posted at odd areas for the past over 15 and 20 years,” he said. He also sought to know why the CEO office had not made public list of transferees and issued individual orders that too after a week .
Darshan Bharti alleged that the CEO office did not consider the zones criteria mentioned in the transfer policy and again posted the teachers in odd areas where they have served. He also condemned pre-matured shifting of teachers who had not applied for transfer. “Some female teachers were transferred at odd areas whereas blue eyed were adjusted at choice postings within zero to one kilometer range,” he alleged.
Seeking a Vigilance probe, the AJKLTF leader urged Education Minister Naeem Akhtar to intervene into the matter and cancel the transfer list
Gurvinder Singh, Anoop Sharma, Ashish Gupta, Karn Suri, Mohinder Bali were also present in the press conference.
