Teachers Association discusses demands

JAMMU, Feb 12: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir State Teachers Association was held today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh for discussing various issues, confronting the teaching community.
The meet demanded early release of the salary of the employees working under SSA, RMSA, SBM, NPS, repatriation of the Master and Lecturers to the home districts, who have completed the stipulated period, regularization of ReT teachers who have completed five years of service, adjustment of promoted Lecturers and Masters on the vacant posts, regularization of all cadres of School Education Officers at the time of promotion and release of cash-in-lieu in favour of retirees.
The meet appealed the Governor N N Vohra to personally intervene and settle the issues.
Those who attended the meeting, included L R Khajuria, Ranjit Singh, Kulesh Kumar, Aslam Khan, Vijay Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar, Naresh Kumar and others.
