UDHAMPUR, July 5: A meeting of All Jammu Kashmir SSRB Teachers/Masters Association was held here today under the chairmanship of State president Rakesh Singh to discuss the burning issues of teaching community.
During the meeting, speakers highlighted the issue of `Transfer Mela’ of general line teachers working in Summer Zone. They urged the Director School Education Jammu to issue necessary directions to all the concerned Chief Education Officers to organize `Transfer Mela’ in their respective district and transfer over-stayed teachers by making a strong transfer policy.
Rakesh Singh urged Governor N N Vohra to intervene in to this matter and take necessary steps to get the Transfer Melas organized for teachers so that CEOs may not adopt traditional rule of pick and choose for giving undue benefit to some of their favorites.
