Teacher arrested for sexually exploiting student

JAMMU, July 6: RS Pura police arrested a teacher for sexually exploiting his student on various occasions.
As per police sources, a woman hailing from Dablehar lodged a complaint with police station RS Pura stating that her daughter aged around 19 years had joined private tuitions at Dablehar in 2014. She was taught by Bodh Raj, son of Inder Dass of Mali Kothey, Bishnah.
The said teacher started sexually exploiting the girl since 2014. The tutor again raped the girl yesterday and warned her of dire consequences if she revealed the entire episode to anyone.
After mustering courage, the girl narrated the ordeal to her mother, who reported the matter to police station RS Pura.
The girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
Acting over the complaint, a case under 99/16 under Section 376 RPC was registered at RS Pura police station and manhunt was launched to nab the teacher.
On specific information, a team from RS Pura police station conducted raid and arrested the accused.
During further investigation, it came to fore that the accused had developed physical relation with a married lady Geeta Devi of Mathapur, tehsil Bishnah and the duo had murdered the husband of the lady Vijay Kumar in August 1999.
They remained in jail for about ten years and after releasing from the jail, they started living as couple in a rental accommodation at Dablehar.
After about three years of their release from the jail, the lady expired in suspicious circumstances and Bodh Raj shifted from Dablehar and hired accommodation at RS Pura, where he started sexually exploiting the minor girls.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas with the help of sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
