Tassaduq reviews status of complaints received by CM’s Grievance Cell

SRINAGAR, June 14: Coordinator Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, today chaired a meeting with officers of various departments to review the status of pending complaints received by the CM’s Grievance Cell.
During the meeting, the Coordinator was apprised about the status and nature of complaints. He took a detailed review of each and every complaint and stressed the officers to be prompt in addressing the complaints.
In order to keep people informed about the status of their grievance, he said that a brief note about each complaint should be put on the Grievance Cell website so that it can be known whether it is in process or has been redressed. He said this would help people to get to know about the activities of the Grievance Cell.
The Coordinator also asked the officials to update the Grievance Cell website regularly. He further asked them that the information they send regarding the complaints should be precise and added that he expects a time-bound reply from concerned departments so that complaints don’t pile up.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, officials from Department of Labour and Employment, Health and Medical Education, Industries and Commerce, Hou-sing and Urban Development, Forest, Environment and Ecology, Road and Building, General Administration, Education, Information and Technology, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
Meanwhile, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti called for making concerted efforts to combat pollution and putting in place effective mechanism for scientific disposal of waste in famed ski resort of Gulmarg.
He was interacting with officers to take stock of the pollution control and disposal of waste in the tourist resort.
During the meeting, Mufti asked officials about the time frame during which waste disposal plant will be constructed at Gulmarg. To make the process speedy, he asked the officers to expedite process of getting necessary clearances so that work on the plant can be started.
The Coordinator was apprised about various steps taken for the scientific disposal of various types of garbage at the Gulmarg. He was briefed that for the proposed plant one kanal of land is presently under consideration. It was said that the plant would need further expansion in future to meet the requirements.
