JAMMU, Nov 25: Rashtriya Andolan Samiti conducted its maiden day-long session at Village Ralegan Siddhi in Parner Taluka of Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra. The session was organised under the leadership of renowned social activist, Anna Hazare in which prominent social activists across the country participated.
During the session social activist Tarun Uppal from J&K was appointed as National Working Committee Member of the Rashtriya Andolan Samiti (RAS).
Addressing the session, Anna Hazare said that the Samiti will hold several programmes across the country. The main aim of organising the programme at State level is to connect the social activist, social organizations, working for the welfare of nation with the Samiti so that a giant organization will be formed for the welfare of nation. He also informed that the Samiti will soon hold the programmes in Jammu as well as Srinagar also.
Uppal, in his address, expressed gratitude to Anna for showing faith in him and assured that he will work vigorously in achieving the aims of the Samiti. He said that there is dire need to strengthen such organizations which is working for the welfare of common masses.
