JAMMU, June 24: Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today lambasted the present MLA Chhamb for total neglect of the constituency.
He said that the whole Chhamb constituency underwent remarkable progress during his tenure when he brought new administrative units, a degree college and a community health centre in his constituency and provided 5 marla plots to border shelling victims, upgraded many schools, work for better road connectivity, etc but lamented that the present MLA is not paying heed to the constituency, as he failed to even carry out repair works.
The Congress leader was speaking during a one-day political convention of booth level workers at community hall, Chak Malal (Khour), where he asked the workers to gear up for upcoming elections and increase mass contact to ensure victory for the party.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Romesh Verma, Jagdish Raj, Suram Singh, Jagatter Singh, Harbans Lal and Daljeet.
