RAJOURI, June 24: An Army jawan was found dead near his house at village Saleri in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sepoy Neeraj Kumar (37), son of Dev Raj, resident of Saleri Pathal in Sunderbani. He was posted in 16 JAKLI and his unit was located in Utter Pradesh. The jawan had come to his home on leave. He had to go back on June 27.
Today morning his body under mysterious circumstances was found lying near a nallah at some distance from his home. The locals noticed it and informed police. The police shifted body to hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
