REASI, May 24: Up in arms against unscheduled power cuts in the village, Talwara migrants held a strong protest demonstration against NHPC, which supplies electricity to the colony.
Shouting slogans against the NHPC, the protesting people also blocked the main road leading to Siarh Baba near STC Talwara for around two hours.
They were also demanding improvement in facilities to the colony of Talwara migrants in Reasi, relief at par with Kashmir migrants and induction of new members in the migrant list.
The protesters dispersed off peacefully on the assurance of Naib Tehsildar Reasi, who said that necessary action will be taken on their demands.
