Talks only with those who accept Indian Constitution: BJP

Srinagar, May 9: State president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and MLA Sat Sharma today said the talks should be held with only those persons or organizations who accept Indian Constitution.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a party’s closed door function here, Sharma said with the passage of time, the atmosphere for talks within the constitutional framework will be build. “As far as the State unit of BJP is concerned, I feel that talks should happen only with those who accept the Indian constitution and talk within the Constitutional limits,” he said.
“I think our media, intelligentsia and civil society should come forward if we want such an atmosphere in Kashmir where the students can compete with those in Bangalaru, Mumbai or Delhi. They should come forward so that our youth move towards proper development,” the BJP’s State president said.
Responding to a question with regard to youngsters in Kashmir joining militant ranks, Sharma said the Government is serious about the issue and there are no two ways about it.
Commenting over Agenda of Alliance (AoA), he said that it was framed keeping in view the needs of the two regions of the State. “It has been framed for six years. Only about two-and-a-half years have passed yet since the formation of the Government, so it will be implemented and other things, which will take J-K towards development and good governance, will also be implemented,” the BJP leader added.
