Take decision on pay anomalies also: JKLADCA to FM

JAMMU, Jan 20: The Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association (JKLADCA) has expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu for his bold initiative with regard to the implementation of  7th Pay Commission report in the State with effect from January 2016, not forcing  the State employees to go for protests, dharnas and strikes for the same.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Mohd Sultan Mir ( president) and Ravi Singh Bhau (vice president) , the members welcomed the announcement made by the Finance Minister on the floor of the Upper House while replying to the clarification sought by the MLC Mohd Khursheed Alam, a former veteran trade unionist.
They said with the reply of the Finance Minister, the Pay Commission issue is now ample clear, which was otherwise, kept silent in the Annual Budget speech and even during reply of the FM in the State Assembly on Wednesday, especially with regard to the date of implementation of 7th Pay Commission report and mode of payment of arrears.   Dr Drabu has provided a great relief to the employees and pensioners of the State by mentioning that in J&K also, the 7th Pay Commission is being implemented  at par with the Central Govt employees  and shall be effective from  January 2016  and all the arrears with effect from this date shall be paid to all the employees/ pensioners  accordingly. They also lauded the steps taken by the Finance Minister regarding cashless treasuries,  changing mode of  Govt payments and change of nomenclature of clerical cadre.
They further appealed to the Finance Minister to also take  a decision with regard to the removal of pay anomalies of  clerical cadre and provide them long awaited justice.  Senior trade unionists Sukhbir Singh, Anil Mehta, Onkar Sharma, Jeelani Naik, Yash Pal Sharma, Ravi Kumar,  Kirpal Singh and Rajinder Singh  were also present.
