Taiwan launches ‘Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026’ campaign

TAIPEI, Jun1 : Taiwan has officially launched the “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026” Global Proposal Campaign, a major international initiative aimed at accelerating the global expansion of Taiwan’s health and wellness industries while strengthening cross-border collaboration.
Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) under the commission of the International Trade Administration (TITA), Ministry of Economic Affairs, the campaign invites governments, businesses, institutions, and organizations worldwide to submit innovative proposals that leverage Taiwan’s expertise in smart healthcare, sports technology, and high-end bicycles.
Under the theme “Designing Healthier Futures Together,” the campaign seeks practical and scalable health solutions that can be implemented internationally, fostering a new paradigm for healthier and more sustainable communities worldwide.
The campaign was officially unveiled during a launch press conference held on May 27. Speaking at the event, TITA Director General William Liu emphasized that “Healthy Taiwan” remains one of the government’s key policy visions. He noted that the upgraded campaign is designed to further promote Taiwan’s image as a global leader in health innovation and industrial excellence.
“Through this enhanced platform, we aim to create demonstrative and multiplier effects that position Taiwan as the preferred global partner for health solutions,” Liu said.
As part of Taiwan’s broader international outreach efforts, the top three winners from the 2025 campaign will be invited to share their collaboration experiences at the Taiwan Expo in Poland this June, showcasing successful examples of international partnerships.
TAITRA President and CEO Simon Wang highlighted the campaign’s role in connecting Taiwanese innovators with global markets. He explained that the initiative will be integrated with a series of international trade shows and business networking events, helping bring Taiwan’s strengths in cycling, sports technology, and smart healthcare to a wider audience.
“The campaign will help Taiwanese enterprises build stronger relationships with global buyers, investors, and startup communities while creating tangible business opportunities and long-term partnerships,” Wang said.
The launch event attracted nearly 100 distinguished guests, including representatives from the Taiwan Bicycle Association, Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association, Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, as well as industry leaders and foreign diplomatic representatives stationed in Taiwan.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the 2025 “Go Healthy with Taiwan” campaign received 638 proposals from 55 countries, demonstrating strong international interest in Taiwan’s health and wellness capabilities. Organizers expect the 2026 edition to attract more than 800 proposals from across five continents, further expanding global participation and collaboration.
A highlight of the launch event was the specially curated “Health AI Hub” product experience zone, which showcased innovations across three major sectors: Cycling, Fitness & Sports Technology, and Smart Healthcare. The exhibition featured leading Taiwanese companies including Acer Gadget, Tokuyo, Makalot, Newtown, Gee Hoo, Ideas Lab, AKIMIA, and Vast.
The exhibits demonstrated a wide range of cutting-edge applications, from low-carbon mobility and smart fitness solutions to precision healthcare technologies and healthy aging management systems. Together, they underscored Taiwan’s ability to integrate technological innovation with sustainability to shape the future of healthy living.
Applications for the “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026” Global Proposal Campaign are now open and will be accepted through August 5, 2026. The top three winning teams will each receive US$30,000 to support the implementation of their proposals and contribute to advancing global health and well-being.
Through the initiative, Taiwan aims to strengthen the international presence of its health and wellness industries while playing a pivotal role in driving health innovation and sustainable development worldwide. (UNI )
