RAJOURI, Jan 30: The inter district T20 Cricket Tournament by Thanamandi based Army’s Rashtriya Rifles was today kick started in District Police Lines Ground here.
In the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Commander of Manjakote based RR sector, Commanding Officer of Thanamandi RR unit, Second in Command and other officers besides Rajouri press club members were present.
In the said tournament, cricket teams from more than six districts of Jammu province are taking part.
Opening match of tournament was played between Poonch Royal vs Kishtwar warriors in which
Kishtwar chose to bat and scored 133/9 in 20 overs while chasing the target, Poonch scored 136/2 in 11.2 overs.
Man of the match award was handed over to Amandeep who scored 100 not out in 40 balls.
Another match under Pool B was played between Doda Diamonds vs Ramban Warriors in which batting first, Doda Diamond scored 121/10 in 18.1 overs.
Chasing the target, Ramban Warriors score 123 in 18.3 overs and won by 6 wickets.
Man of the Match was awarded to Rayees Bhatt of Ramban Warriors for scoring Runs 55 and taking 1 wicket.
