JAMMU, Nov 14: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today carried out surprise check at JAKFED office at Ambphalla and seized the record pertaining to certain purchases of construction material especially cement.
Official reports said a team of the Vigilance Organization reached JAKFED office at 11 am and searched the record pertaining to purchases of construction material made during past five years.
They frisked the record for nearly six hours and seized some of the files. The team took the record with them and was likely to question the concerned officers/officials on the purchases.
The Vigilance Organization suspected some irregularities in the purchase of construction material, reports said, adding that details would come out after scrutiny of the records.
