SRINAGAR, July 7: Administrative Secretary Higher Education Department (HED), Sushma Chauhan today released the book ‘Role of Teacher Is Vital In Society’ authored by Late Dr. Satya Pal Vaid.
Rakesh Badyal, Additional Secretary HED, Vikas Dhar Bhagati, Deputy Secretary HED and Ajay Vaid (son of Dr. S.P. Vaid) who is also an author were also present on the occasion.
The book highlights the role of teacher as builders of the nation, youth and civilization as also their contribution to the society.
It contains articles from various academicians, researchers and bureaucrats and is a tribute to teachers from a teacher as the author himself belonged to teaching profession.
A handout stated that Late Dr. S.P Vaid has authored over 15 titles on different subjects and was decorated by State and National awards.
He was allotted two projects by I.C.S.S.R (Ministry of Human Resources, GoI) and one project by UGC and served the Education Department for four decades.
Ajay Vaid has written 7+ titles and his two books ‘Beyond alcoholism & Drug addiction’ and ‘Self employability/employability skills’ have been released by Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K while another book has been recently released by Manoj Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary GAD on the topic ‘Think big and positive’.
