Surrendered militant among 16 absconders arrested

REASI, July 17: Continuing its drive against underground criminals, Reasi Police has arrested 16 more absconders who were evading arrests since years. These include a surrendered militant charged with killings of innocent villagers as well as harboring dreaded terrorists.
According to a Police spokesperson, Reasi Police arrested absconding surrendered-militant Mohd Shabir, accused of murder and wanted in case FIR number 222/2002 U/S 302,120-B,121,123 RPC, 7, 25, 26, 27 Arms act of Police Station Mahore.
Offense was proved and final report was produced in the court of law against the accused person and his accomplices. He has been arrested after 19 years since commission of crime of killing innocent villagers. Case of crime of murder was registered against Mohd Shabir son of Mokamdin of Hasote Chassana, Ghulam Nabi son of Nazir Ahmed of Kalaban Chassana and Ghulam Mustafa son of Mohd Abdullah of Kalaban Chasana, all militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Pakistan based terrorist organization.
They were evading arrest and couldn’t be apprehended since registration of case FIR against them and a General Warrant of Arrest U/S 512 CrPC was issued against them by Court of JMIC Mahore issued dated 30-08-2003.
Ghulam Mustafa is presently in PoK while Ghulam Nabi was killed in an encounter by security forces. Mohd Shabir had surrendered before security forces in 2004 but was not produced in the court in which he was booked.
