AKHNOOR, Feb 22: District Development Council (DDC) Member, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated a newly installed 63-kVA power substation near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nardi Bala, in Block Maira Mandrian to improve electricity supply in the locality.
Other works inaugurated on the occasion included the construction of a stage at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and the development of a platform at Kai Devsthan in village Ardhan, Panchayat Kathar.
Locals of the area claimed that these projects were long pending demands.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Sharma said that over the past five years, development initiatives have been undertaken across all sectors with a focus on public needs.
Locals expressed gratitude to Suresh Sharma for completing these works.
Among those present on the occasion were BJP leaders Dr. Ramlal Lal Sharma, OBC Morcha State vice-president Rita Verma, Ravel Singh, Kishore Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Sukhdev Raj, Ashok Singh, Shamsher Singh, Lal Singh, Sham Malhotra, Mukesh Kumar, Vishan Baba, Bodh Raj, Prabhu Dayal, Om Prakash, Sanjay Kumar, Ankush Sharma, Raman Kumar, officials from the concerned department and other prominent citizens.
