Sunny, Tuffail awarded as best district presidents of NSUI

JAMMU, June 1: Sunny Parihar, district president, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Jammu and Tuffail Qadir, district president, NSUI Srinagar, were awarded as best district presidents of NSUI.
The awards were given in an NSUI programme “Drishticon 2015” where 725 district presidentseligible for the “Best District President award” were invited. From 725 district presidents only 17 district presidents were nominated as best performers, out of which Sunny Parihar and Tuffail Qadir were also awarded as the Best District President of NSUI.
Sunny Parihar was awarded for the continuous protests and agitation against New Recruitment policy in J&K, for having AIIMS in Jammu too, hike in prices of petrol, Diesel and many other issues.
On the other hand, Tuffail Qadir was nominated as Best District President for doing tremendous work in flood relief operations in Kashmir during last year when the whole Kashmir was sufferring. Tuffail Qadir was also victim of flood in Srinagar and his home was also drowned under water. Despite this, he and his volunteers’ team work hard in flood relief operations. NSUI in Kashmir rescued many people, distributed filtered water among the people and examined thousands of suffered people in NSUI medical Camps.
