KISHTWAR, Dec 10: Mini-ster of State for Transport and R&B, Sunil Kumar Sharma today visited tehsil Dachhan and convened public grievances camps in different villages including Sounder, Suid, Panjdhara and Janakpur.
Regarding road sector people urged upon the Minister to direct the PMGSY authorities to speed up the work on the only road being constructed towards the area. They also demanded sanctioning of new health centers in rural areas and upgradation of health center of the area located at village Suid.
Demand for separate education zone was projected before the Minister at Panjdhara village. The issue of pending wages under MGNREGA was also highlighted during the tour.
Demand for a water supply scheme and construction of reservoir was also highlighted. The people also demanded proper implementation of RR plan for the dislocated families due to start of Hydroelectric Project in the area.
The Minister gave on-the-spot directions to the concerned authorities for immediate redressal of complaints and grievances so as to mitigate the sufferings of people and said that any laxity on part of the departments will be viewed seriously. He assured the people that every possible help will be provided to mitigate their problems.
The Minister added that with the start of Hydroelectric Project there will be a mega boom in employment generation for the youngsters of district Kishtwar and said that the people of Dachhan would be given first priority for jobs.
During the tour, the Minister inaugurated VHF Mobile Communication Tower and for the first time in history area gets connected to the outer world by means of mobile communication.
