Suneel gets ‘Bharat Jyoti Award’ from IIFS

JAMMU, Mar 30: Suneel Mahajan, a noted social worker and businessman from Jammu was honored with ‘Bharat Jyoti Award’ for his noteworthy contribution in the field of social work and promotion of sports.
The award was conferred by India International Friendship Society (New Delhi), a leading voluntary organization having national and international existence in socio-economic field, in a function held recently at New Delhi. Many other noted personalities from various fields were also honoured with ‘Bharat Jyoti Award’ on the occasion.
Suneel Mahajan, apart from being president of J&K Athletics Association, is also associated with various committees. He is Chairman of Finance Committee of State Olympic Association and Member, Consultative Committee of FCI. Mahajan is also Chairman of SEARCH, an NGO activity working in the field of Cultural and Heritage Conservation.
The award function was graced by Justice Pramod Kohli (former Chief Justice of High Court of Sikkim), Dr Jaspal Singh (former Vice Chanceller, Punjab University), Lt General Nirbhay Sharma (former Governor of Mizoram) among others.
The award ceremony was preceded by a seminar on “Economic Growth and National Integration” in which various eminent speakers presented their views.
