IRCS distributes Rs 34 lakh to cancer, kidney patients

JAMMU, Mar 30: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu Region has claimed to have distributed Rs. 34,24,654 during the year from February 2018 to February 2019.
A handout stated that the amount has been spent on providing financial assistance to poor patients suffering from different ailments like cancer, kidney diseases etc so that these patients may get medical treatment.
Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region informed that the Society is putting best efforts with the guidance and support of Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and the Executive Committee of the Regional Branch to reach out to the unreached and mitigate the sufferings of the poor members of public.
The handout stated that Red Cross seek the support and cooperation of all philanthropists who wish to be associated or want to contribute in the adoption of patients for their treatment.
The Society has appealed Heads of all Government Organisations, Industrial Houses, Educational Institutions and private concerns as well as the members of public to donate generously and also promote the sale of Raffle Draw Tickets; draw of which will be taken out on Sunday April, 21 in full public view. Each raffle draw ticket costs Rs. 25 only with good amount of prizes and are available in Red Cross Office, Kachi Chowni, Jammu.
