Srinagar, Mar 8: The Municipal Magistrate Srinagar today issued summons to Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent of Lal Ded Memorial Maternity Hospital Srinagar for unhygienic condition of the canteen of the hospital.
The Municipal Magistrate Srinagar, Khursheed Islam, accompanied by the Health Officer SMC, Dr Shafaqat, visited Food Establishments around Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar and Gogji bagh localities to assess their hygiene.
The Municipal Magistrate was accompanied by a team of Food Safety Officers and Samplers. They also visited the canteen of LD hospital Srinagar. The canteen of the hospital was found unhygienic and challan was framed against the owner of the Canteen and the Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent of the hospital were held responsible by the Municipal Magistrate for such insanitary conditions in the hospital canteen.
The Magistrate also issued summons to Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent of Lal Ded Memorial Maternity Hospital Srinagar for unhygienic condition of the canteen.
The Magistrate also destroyed 100 liters of milk on the spot for being adulterated with water and low quality skimmed milk.
