Srinagar, July 1: As Kashmir is in the grip of hot and dry weather conditions, the Education Department today announced summer vacation from July 4 to 14 in winter zones of Kashmir division.
Principal Secretary School Education Department, B K Singh in this regard issued the formal orders today.
“It is ordered that all the Government educational institutions and recognized private schools up to higher secondary level functioning in the Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu division shall observe summer vacation with immediate effect from 4th of July to 14th of July,” the order read.
He said that the orders were issued in view of the ongoing heat wave and the letters received from the Directors of both Jammu and Kashmir regions.
