JAMMU, July 15: The School Education Department today ordered extension of Summer vacation in all the Government as well as recognized private schools falling in Summer Zone of Jammu division, upto July 21, 2019.
As per the order in this regard, the schools will restart functioning with effect from Monday (July 22, 2019) even as the teaching and non-teaching staff of Government schools shall report for duty on July 16 as already ordered.
However, the private schools, which have pre-scheduled events or examinations, if any, during the extended time period, are allowed to conduct them as per scheduled, subject to condition that no outdoor activities are conducted after 11 a.m and no student is retained in the school for any activity beyond 12.30 p.m, further says the order.
