RAJOURI, July 15: A child was crushed to death under a mini-bus at Balshama village on Jammu-Poonch highway in Sunderbani area today.
A police spokesman said that 5-year-old, Shivam, son of Pawan Kumar, resident of Balshama was crossing road when a speeding mini-bus No. JK11/0015 crushed him under the wheels at around 4.20 pm today. The boy’s head was crushed under the front wheel of the vehicle, resulting his on the spot death.
The vehicle driver escaped from the spot while police seized the vehicle and shifted the dead body of the boy for postmortem and other legal formalities to SDH Sundrebani. A case was registered in this connection.
