JAMMU, June 21: JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School organized 15-days innovative Summer Camp ‘Oasis’ concluded in its premises here today.
The Camp was part of the plan to augment togetherness and nurture the best in each child within doctrine of conscientious concern.
The students took part in variety of fun-filled activities under the guidance of trained staff.
The activities included basic English speaking, personality development programme, drawing and art and craft work.
The little chefs prepared mouth watering dishes in the buns and beans (cooking) and some of them even tried to be one step ahead by taking part in calligraphy for improving writing skills, yoga and exercises.
Campers were classified in small groups with participants of their own age, who attend daily classes.
Through spoken English classes of Personality development, Campers were enriched with vocabulary and correct pronunciation.
The children experienced great joy and motivation in learning new techniques and creative art work.
The camp ended with a special participation of students in dance competition.
In junior group, Ashani Saraf from RTF-I and Osheen Chopra from class-I won the competition, while in senior group, Deviyansh Pandey from class 6th and Devyansh Gupta from class 6th emerged victorious.
On the concluding day, Rajni Gupta, Director Academics said such camps develop the Kinesthetic skill like special intelligence and logistic intelligence in the growing kids besides development of team spirit.
The whole programme was co-ordinated by the Vandana Gupta, Navjyot Kour, Kamaljeet Kour, S R Smile, Aanchal and Meena Gupta.
